Hydro Jetting

High-pressure water scours grease, scale and roots from the pipe wall and restores the full diameter of your line.

A cable machine punches a hole through a clog. A hydro jetter does something different: it sends water at high pressure through a nozzle with jets that scour the whole circumference of the pipe, washing away grease, scale, sludge and fine roots and carrying them down the line. The pipe comes out looking like it did when it was new.

Jetting uses thousands of pounds of pressure per square inch, so the operator must match the pressure, the nozzle and the travel speed to the pipe size and material, and a camera inspection beforehand tells us whether a pipe is sound enough to jet. Done correctly, it is one of the most effective ways to clear and maintain a line.

Questions

Hydro Jetting FAQ

Will hydro jetting damage my pipes?

On sound pipe, correctly done, no. We inspect first, because a pipe that is already cracked or collapsed should be repaired rather than jetted.

How is jetting different from snaking?

A cable cuts through the middle of a clog. A jetter scours the whole wall, so it removes more and lasts longer.

How often should I jet?

Restaurants may jet every few months, and homes with repeat clogs often benefit from a yearly pass.

Can jetting remove tree roots?

It removes fine roots and, with a cutting nozzle, larger ones, but roots grow back unless the entry point is repaired.
